Engagement Director Spotlight: Emily Gutierrez

My passion to work with elders came from my family. Both my parents worked, so throughout my childhood and into my college years, my grandparents were always there for me. I have an endless amount of wonderful memories being with my grandparents.

An important time in my career with my elders is when I started working here and feeling the love the residents have shown me as I’ve grown in the community. First as a server then a housekeeper. When it was announced that I would be the new activity director, the residents gave me a standing ovation! It was heartwarming.
